Wall Street Protest
What's happening on Wall Street, why is it happening. This short video should provide some insight, take a peek here.
occupy wall street is a series of demonstrations performed by a large group of people who feel that society needs to be changed(started with a Canadian activist group called adbusters). motives involve environmental pollution control,inequality, protecting medicare and social security. I believe that the protester's biggest concern is that 1% of the population holds the majority of the nations wealth..leaving a big portion of the population in poverty. The worse part about this is that these filthy rich corporations only want more money! they get tax cuts and even use the tax payer's money to help achieve their goal of becoming more rich. that's unbelievable how they have more than enough money to build things on their own but still, weasel their way into using OUR money. our taxes should be used on roads, education departments, and healthcare! Unless we can bring about change, the wealthy are only going to become even more wealthy and when that happens, money in the economy will be stuck at the top. The people struggling will only face more problems and the lower class will perish. I believe that the government should put in more laws that will heavily tax the filthy rich. if the filthy rich has a problem... isn't democracy majority rules? I bet they cant even spend their money quick enough before it regenerates in other forms such as interest.
